What is a Board Room?

The boardroom is used for meetings at the highest level of a company. It can hold up to 48 people (24 can be in the table and 24 can be situated around the walls). This room reflects K-State Olathe’s commitment to meet requirements of the industry in executive meetings space as well as research and education. This room has a more formal decor with basic audiovisual equipment.

The word “board” is a reminiscence of wealthy men seated in deep wooden rooms with high ceilings, pondering corporate policy and pricing for the purpose of monopolizing markets or an opportunity. Today, however the boardroom has become a central hub of innovation, allowing more collaboration and participation from all over the world in making crucial decisions that could affect the entire business.

The design of the room must be flexible and adaptable to the intended purpose. The room should also include modern technology that will allow for board room the most productive meetings possible. In addition, the ambience of the boardroom should be welcoming and comfortable, which will encourage interaction and promote the exchange of ideas.

A boardroom must be equipped with a large screen that can accommodate everyone in attendance. It should also include projection equipment to show presentations and whiteboards to help facilitate discussions. Some modern boardrooms will also incorporate a videoconferencing system to allow remote attendees to join and provide greater diversity among the board members. Infassure provides modern boardrooms with all the necessary tools to ensure that your next meeting is an absolute success.
